Schminck Memorial  & Lake County Museuns

The Lake County Museum is located inside a home built in 1927. The museum displays Lake County History on education, business, government, cultures, and artifacts indigenous to the area. Located next door the Schminck Memorial Museum is located in a Bungalow built in 1920. The Fremont- Winema National Forest features many activities including Fishing, hunting, backpacking, hiking, camping, boating, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and downhill skiing. With over 30 trailheads, multiple cabin rentals and campgrounds on the forest this area is an outdoor recreation enthusiasts dream come true.
